| Internet Safety Awareness by Collinsville Unit 10! Internet safety falls under the umbrella of personal safety. Just as we teach our students to be safe when crossing the street, we need to teach them to be safe on the information superhighway! Recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education as one of the top six Internet safety schools in the state, Collinsville Unit 10 School District has a reputation for teaching internet safety in a fun, inventive, and engaging way. Susan Homes will teach participants about current internet safety topics, developing age appropriate curriculum, and implementing safe online practices in the classroom. Teachers will work with peers in an interactive hands-on training session. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. Lunch and breaks are included in the registration fee, although breakfast will not be provided. Participants will need to bring their own laptops and power cords for the day’s activities. If you do not have access to a laptop, please let us know and a laptop may be provided. |
